The Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is famous for its enormous fountain system. These fountains are located in front of the casino and can be seen from several blocks away. While gazing at this amazing water and light show at night, you can feel all of your stress and anxiety melt away.
There are more than 1,200 nozzles that extend over 200 feet into the air, which is the height of a 20 story building.
The fountain system can shoot water up over 460 feet in the air. It has the capacity to shoot 6,000 gallons of water per minute into the sky
The Bellagio Fountains consist of two types of shows: A daytime show that takes place every 30 minutes starting at 10 am, and a nighttime show at 8 pm. There are a total of eight shows that take place on an hourly basis during daytime hours, and each show lasts four minutes long. During the daytime shows, there are no lights projected onto the water because of the bright desert sun.
The night time show is synchronized to music and has lights. Each nozzle has its own individual color light which comes together to project different hues onto the water. These lights change constantly throughout the show, based on music or other entertainment programmed for the show. It is mesmerizing to say the least.
